Hanoi to Sapa by Train
Sapa sits about 320 km northwest of Hanoi, and you can get there by sleeper bus, VIP cabin coach, limousine van or overnight train via Lao Cai. Expressway buses take around 5–6 hours; the train is slower but many travellers prefer it for the lie-flat berths. Book early for Friday and holiday departures — Sapa services sell out fast.
